Super Boot, Kills me though

These boots are well made and a deal if they work for you. I had a pair of Alico Tahoe's I loved, and decided to get a heavier boot for longer hikes, or for the shorter rocky hikes I go on. Ive had the Summits for a year. I wear them hiking, I wear them to the bar, I wear them to work, I sleep in them some nights; they have never broken in. They continually cause blisters. In addition, they kill the bottom of my feet, no matter what sock/insole combination. It chaps me I REALLY like these boots and want them to work for me, maybe another couple of months. They would be the greatest value in hiking boots, if they didn't hurt. They are superbly constructed with heavy stitching, grippy soles, heavy duty leather that looks great and resists scratching, leather lining, and great ankle support, and at [$], they are probably 1/2 to 1/3 of what they would cost if they had a Vasque or Scarpa label on them.
  • Best Uses: Heavy Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Wet Conditions
  • Cons: Not Comfortable
  • Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational
  • Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Water Resistant
  • Sizing: Feels true to size
