About Surftech

The individuals behind Surftech paddle boards and surfboards have been brewing up new ideas and crafting awesome watersport gear for more than 25 years, and it all started with board-shaping pioneer Randy French. After developing a revolutionary construction method in the late ‘80s, Randy and his crew spent the early years selling custom boards from the back of an old truck all along the California coastline. Back then, the Surftech HQ was located in the back of a lumber yard in Santa Cruz. They called it the “Chicken Coop.” Eventually, the company earned a partnership with a world-class manufacturing company and the brand flourished. Today, Surftech SUP boards and surfboards are hitting the water all over the world, from Maverick’s to Bali.
