25-30 miles a week. Socks take a beating. A lot of desert sand. Abrasive environment. Holds up great and love the right around the ankle height. which Swiftwick calls a "One". These socks are comfortable, Not aware of them. Hold their shape. Lasts longer than all the other name brands I have tried. Nice compression socks and I am one of those who can fit in either the L or XL. For those in that borderline L or XL size range of 12, I found, given my foot configuration, that the XL works great and was easier to put on because of less compression in this larger size. It depends on the volume of your foot and how much compression you want or need. More in the L and less in the XL for my narrow foot with a high arch. They have redone the sizing description/standards, so STP does show the new dimensions for an XL and L accurately. They overlap at size 12. Don't let the packaging, that has the old sizing standards on it (XL starting @13.5), throw you off. it depends on how much compression you want or need for those in the borderline between the L and XL sizes. I have both sizes and it works for me. Did I mention Made in USA?
