My boys have been wanting poles for hiking and snowshoeing just like their Dad and Mom. They are 3 and 5 and I didn't want to put up a lot of money on something that may very likely be used as a sword or baseball bat. This will be a Christmas gift so we haven't used them yet. I know they are designed for skiing...but for under $10 a piece I figured they would be a good introduction to hiking with poles for the boys and if the do ruin them than I don't feel so bad. I am giving them 5 stars because the price was excellent and they seam sturdy (although we haven't used them yet)

More recently, Swix gloves, hats and apparel have also been added to the mix.
