OK case, not the best design

Just got this case in the mail, haven't carried my shotgun around in it very much yet.
The case fits my waterfowling gun easily, but the closure is all velcro -- which is noisy if you "jump the pond" right at shooting light. Another big problem with the case is the shoulder carry strap is stitched on. This is a problem for two reasons:
1. you have no choice to take it off, and the pad is stitched in position so there is no adjustment there either.
2. it is stitched into a seam that runs up and down, which means the strap must twist 90 degrees in order to lie flat on your shoulder. This does not happen because the distance between the pad and the end of the strap is so short. The end result is a strap that feels very nice when you carry the gun on your left shoulder (the twist goes with the slope of your shoulder), and very uncomfortable on your right shoulder (the twist goes on the opposite direction of the slope of your shoulder).

I have not thrown my gun into the pond to see if it really floats. I would be happy if i never found out if it floats my gun.

Overall, the case is pretty solid even if its noisy, but because the shoulder strap is both uncomfortable and permanent I only give 3 stars. As I will only be carrying the gun short distances in the case, I think I will keep the case, as I got it mostly as a way to take up less room than my rigid double gun case in the car when we drive out to the blind.
