It came with two dents on the lizard skin, and due to the color difference of the dark brown surface and the tan leather inside, this flaw is quite obvious to unaided naked eyes... The package was solid so I think the dents must be there before it left the manufacturer...

Mine is also one solid size smaller than marked, which is fine because I listened to the reviewers here and ordered one size up.

The overall quality of the material and workmanship is not bad but I have seen better at a fraction of the cost of this one.

In sum, I am returning it, and I also suggest taking a look at those made in US belts listed here for something truly well-made and yet affordable.

I've bought a half-dozen belts off STP over the last couple of months with the plan to "upgrade" my current, older and worn belts, and have found them to kind of be all over the board size-wise. I ordered this Tardini belt and the Tardini croc belt, both in a size 40 - even though I have a size 35 waist and typically wear belts that are either 36 or 38. However, previous experience with some of the belts made me want to size up. In this case, the croc belt was too large and this one fit okay - even though they were both size 40 and I have a size 35 waist. I don't think a size 38 of this belt would fit correctly...so just keep that in mind when you're ordering...probably order up a size. As far as belt quality, it's nice, and it looks good. The only thing that's keeping it from being an "outstanding" belt is that you can see the skin seams on the belt if you look for them (obviously, they didn't get the solid skin off a 40 inch lizard!) Overall, I'm pleased with the belt and look forward to wearing it.
