Verified Buyer Reviewed by Theorema from Alabama on Thursday, July 17, 2014I love Tatami sandals and when I saw these posted on pinterest, I knew I had to have them. They are soooo comfortable and I can wear them all day while walking and my feet never hurt. Love the style and gets lots of compliments when I wear them.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Riezie from Southwest Missouri on Wednesday, July 2, 2014Really like the appearance of this shoe; but having a hard time getting used to it. Something about the shape of the foot bed different than my Birks.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by willis from SLC, Utah on Tuesday, June 17, 2014I love the Tatami black leather footbed, it doesn't turn my foot black like the black felt type footbed! However, deinately do not order down... i wear a 38 birk but I read order a whole size down and now I am sending this sandal back and the size 38 are gone
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Susan from Montana on Wednesday, June 11, 2014I have been wearing Birkenstocks for about 10 years, and like this pair the best of all I have had. I have Fibromyalgia, and Rheumatoid arthritis, as well as knee, hip, and back issues. I can walk, and stand in these for longer periods of time than I can in any other type of shoe. I had never had a pair that were full grain leather. Nubuck, suede, and birkoflor (which is my least favorite). I thought that it would take me longer to break these in, but it has not. I wear them almost constantly. I may have to get another pair, before they are all gone!
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Ohio Gal from NE Ohio on Monday, June 9, 2014My size 7 feet found these sandals to be a bit too roomy, even with the adjustable straps on the last 'setting' (for lack of a better term). The deal-breaker was that the footbed material is a bit tacky-like or sticky when it makes contact with the foot and made an undesirable sound (worse than the usual flip-flop noise we are accustomed to). I really wanted to like these; however, had to send them back.

If you wear a 39 you should stick with that. They are true to size fit, from the comments. Unless your feet are very narrow, you might want to go with medium width. I'm in between N and M, and the N were too snug and with the stiff leather, uncomfortable for me.
Order your regular size and you should be fine.
“I usually wear a 39, medium width in birks. Was wondering how the narrows measure up to mediums. The review on this birk said they run large, so order a size smaller from regular size. Any suggestions on a size that might work for me?”
Yes, we recommend that if you wear a 39 you should probably order a 38.
