Love these boots, have worn top name brand boots for living in the mountains the last 25 years. These boots are cute and function well in the snow and icy conditions I live with every winter. Doesn't get much better than this!

  • stylish boots

these boots are very comfortable and i get compliments on them all the time. people love the wraps around the boots - as do i. they take a bit of time getting on and off, but that's the price you pay for style i guess. they are true to size (i am a 7, but usually wear 6 1/2). these fit perfectly as a 7. i added a sport insert to add a bit more cushion, but i really don't need it. i wear these boots with skinny jeans, and have worn them over stockings with a dress. very versatile. love them overall. very happy with this purchase.

Great traction, really cute boot. It fits well, maybe a little narrower than my other boots, but still OK. It is a little narrow at the ankle so I need to sit down to pull them on. No biggie though.

I got these to replace my sheepskin lined boots. They look really stylish, and are warm, but not a boot that I would wear for a long walk outside during -0 weather. But if you are looking for a sharp looking boot for casual wear these are the ones to get!

  • WIDE FEET BEWARE
Reviewed by Bootless for Winter from NorCal on Monday, September 27, 2010
These boots ran too tight in my mid-foot area; I am a true size 6.5 and ordered the 37; however, my feet tend to be a bit wide. I would consider these boots narrow instead of medium. Perhaps they would have stretched but I couldn't risk it so returned them. Half a size larger would have been too big. Sigh.

  • “How do these run size wise. I'm a 9.5 but only size 10 in available. Not sure how that will be.”
Asked by JR from Hudson Valley, New York on 5/3/2010 12:00:00 AM
    • The run true to size. If you are wearing a thicker sock you should be just fine.
Answered on 5/8/2010 12:00:00 AM by Customer Care from Sierra Trading Post
    • They run a bit snug (narrow and a tad short). I ordered the 37 for my 6.5 foot, but my foot tends to be a bit wide. A normal boot or clog usually accomodates this slight wideness, but the Tecnica Karin did not. If your foot is more wide than narrow, the half size larger may work for you. Good luck.

  • “What is the insulation used in these boots? Are they rated to a certain max.degree-or can you approximate max.useful temp? How long does the waterproof application last, and at that point.. can a commercial waterproofing agent for suede be used on them?”
Asked by Gracee from the Big House from Auburn, NY on 4/13/2010 12:00:00 AM
    • The lining is a faux fur synthetic material. There is not an official temperature rating for these boots, but there are very warm in cold temperatures. The waterproofing agent will last quite awhile, a couple of years if you clean them every so often with a damp cloth, but then you can use a suede and nubuck specific waterproofer to restore it.

  • “Are these boots wind proof? and are they suitable for arctic pole excursions?”
Asked by Mandy from Guildford, UK on 4/4/2010 12:00:00 AM
    • I would not recommend these for an arctic excursion. You are going to want to go with a more technical boot as this is a around town stylish boot. You will want to go with a boot in which they have been tested and have a temperature rating.
