Bait casting and spin casting use the same rods. The reel sits on TOP of the rod. A spinning reel hangs underneath the rod. This would make a good spin casting rod for the larger, heavy duty spin cast reels holding at least 10lb test line.

It is the pound test of the line recommended for the rods. I.E. The MH is a Medium Heavy action rod for 8 to 17 lb. test line.
The six and half foot rod has ten guides.
The rods could be used for inshore or offshore fishing.
