I tell my Scouts: If you can sleep outside, in every month in our state, you can camp anywhere, after you adapt for changes in elevation.

Love the idea that the properties that cause it to adapt to the temperature can not be washed out. I already have used Terramar long-sleeved T-shirt...it it my favorite, so when I saw a "hood" I bought it. Note: It is not
a wind-block & is very breathable, so if bring the wind-block garmet to put over it...which you should have done anyway.

Sleep in it at home in the winter, but bought primarily as a base-layer for camping...it is great to flip up the hood to cover the head when the wind changes, especially if wearing a non-hooded wool shirt mid-layer as an insulating layer. (Also works as a mid-layer with a terramar t-shirt underneath as a base-layer.) In Sub-zero would wear an extra Terramar t-shirt underneath, the hoodi, add another mid-layer, then gore-tex windblock & add an external vest, but not because of anything wrong with the product...it is just that cold outside.

Primarily bought it for winter-camping under an insulating layer & a gore-tex shell over that; so nice to have that hood, inside a gore-tex hood, when you need it...but it almost dissapeares when not using it.

Would like a full-length zipper but bought it knowing it did not & intend to buy more. I already have several other Terramar products: Long sleeved t's & boxers & they really do work.

In summer, love Terramar in the boundary waters cause it dries out so fast when summer canoe trekking.

Would love it if Terramar would build a "tactical concealed carry hoodi" too!
