These are the tights to have! Warm, cozy, not too bulky, really stretchy and form-fitting without pinching anywhere or sagging. They do seem to run kind of small, but once you've wiggled into them, they'll move with you. I ordered up a size and probably could have gone up one more without being too... Read More

  • “I have 42" hips. L or XL? (My waist is 29", but I tend to get bloated, so all bets are off)”
Asked by Liz from Pdx on 1/10/2015 12:48:46 PM
    • I have 39" hips and 30" waist and bought a large. I liked them so much I bought 3 more and am living in them this winter. They are quite stretchy and comfortable. I would guess you could wear a large comfortably.
Answered on 1/10/2015 1:45:42 PM by Sarah A from Seattle. WA
    • The L should be sufficient, if not large . I have 39" hips and can wear the small.
Answered on 1/10/2015 2:15:54 PM by Hiker from Montana
    • Oops! The ones I have are medium, not small as stated in my answer. Still think large would fit.
Answered on 1/10/2015 2:19:15 PM by Hiker from Montana
    • I have 36" hips & 26" waist and small fit perfect, I can wear under jeans or snowpants & no wrinkling up. Waistband is a little on the thin side, if it were wider might be a little more comfy if you got bloat going on (been there). I was really happy w/ these.

    • Hi Liz. I wear a 10/12 pants and I bought a L. Incidentally, I was out in -10 degree weather the other day and maaaaybe I would prefer a little more base layer, but that is very very extreme. I hope this helps!

    • Hi, understood, the waist has expands comfortably, but they are snug, i havent noticed any red rings around my midsection on skin, if you know what I mean, I would go with XL, safe side, hope this helps. Sue

    • Tough question, but if you plan to throw these in the dryer I'd opt for the larger size. They are quite close-fitting and not very long. Hope you enjoy them, they are incredibly warm.

    • I would guess I am about your same size. I all three colors in the large. The large fits me well (I'm usually a size 10 in pants). They are really stretchy but also fit skin tight. Personally, I think either would fit because of how stretchy they are. If you want them to be less opaque (i.e. not see through at all), go with the xl.

    • To be on the safe side, I ordered a size up and they are perfect. When I opened the package, they looked like they were made for a small child...pleasantly surprised when I put them on. They are very stretchy....very comfortable....and very warm.

    • What I can say is that I don't like overly tight clothes, even for leggings. That may be what helps you choose--do you like a little more space and give, or prefer snug? The small was too tight for me, the medium fits just right.

    • I have 38" hips and 30" waist and have the medium. They are really stretchy. They look really pencil thin, but go on easily.

    • You might be OK with an L since your waist is 8 inches less than mine, but your hips are 2 inches more than mine. I got these in XL, but I might have been OK with an L. The XL fits nicely with no bagginess anywhere.

If I got an L, which I did in the "capri" version (they were almost the same length), they might be a little tight in the thigh area.

I also expect them to shrink a little, as all my tights do.

    • My waist is a little larger and my hip a little smaller than mentioned in the query. I believe a Large would be probably be the best size. I find my leggings very comfortable.
Answered on 1/11/2015 4:46:12 PM by Coastal granny from Oregon
    • I would guess you might be more comfortable in the XL. I'm around 37" and quite comfortable in the L, which is more-or-less a size larger than I wear in most fitted bottoms these days. I was not comfortable in the M I tried previously. Mine still have a nice degree of stretch to them, which they should have so they're comfortable for sitting down and moving around in them.

    • I would size up for comfort. I bought them in Large and I normally wear Medium (8/10) for pants.

    • I am 5'7" and 125 lb. I got the Medium, and it fits me well. I agree that these run small. I'd advise you to order the Large.
These are amazing - enjoy being warm!

    • I'm 5'4" and 140 lbs and I got a medium (usually wear a size 6 jeans so I usually buy a small) which I think fits perfect so if I were you I'd get a large.
Answered on 11/10/2014 5:21:09 PM by E. from Minnesota
    • Definitely get the large. I'm 5'7" and 150 with lots of butt and the medium only juuuust fits.
Answered on 11/10/2014 5:21:57 PM by jdubbs from Massachusetts
    • That was my experience. The small felt too tight for me (5'7, 120 lb), the medium fits great, has a good amount of give and I've worn them for 10 hour work days more than once, finding them very comfortable. And perfect for Fall weather. So the L may just work out for you.

    • I'd say ordering one size larger would be the more comfortable fit.

    • I would order a large. I am 5'6 and 130lbs and I ordered a small the first time. They are just a little short on me. I think the medium would fit you other than length, but I like mine to go all the way to my ankle.

  • “How small do these run? I'm 4'11" & 118lbs with relatively large thighs. Normally wear a size 2 (curvy) or regular size 4. Should I order a medium or large?”

    • I'm 5'8" and around 170. I ordered the large and they fit me well. Id recommend a smaller size.

    • Kind of small I'm 5"2" and a med. looks awful sm. but when u try them on they stretch good. I'm have small thighs and they fit snug . I love these leggings because I am sooooooooo small. Very much worth the money. They look small when u take them out of the pkg. but they stretch really well.

    • I would think medium would be just fine. I am 5'6" 118 with thin kegs and thighs. Small fits just great. Not too tight, not too snug. I have mine on right now and they are super comfy
Answered on 10/13/2014 6:29:07 AM by Heidi from Missouri
    • I think you would want a small. I am curvy as well, but they have have so much stretch.
Answered on 10/13/2014 11:01:03 AM by Brandee4 from Wyoming
    • I ordered one size larger than stated for weight height just for comfort.
Answered on 10/14/2014 7:41:25 AM by Picky shopper from Cali
    • They are snug around the thighs, and they are very long, i am 5'8 and 68kg, and there is excess length, which is okay with me. Not familiar with your sizing we work in 12, 14 etc, depending on what i am either. The large will be very long on you, not sure how the medium will be around thighs, might be too snug. If you butt and hip measurement is normal then medium should be okay, mind are bit big at present.
      Hope this helps.

  • “Do these have seams on the inside and/or outside of the legs?”
Asked by yo! from me on 12/18/2013 12:31:27 PM
    • No, they do not
Answered on 12/18/2013 12:49:14 PM by astgdm from Nebraska
    • There are no seams on the inside or outside of the legs. Just a seam at the bottom to keep them secured at the ankles and the butt/crotch seams. These are great! I liked them so much I ended up ordering 3 pairs! Warm and soft and perfect in cold, wet, windy weather under jeans, skirts, etc.
Answered on 12/18/2013 1:11:21 PM by SBenoit from Maple Valley, WA
    • No, there are no seams on the inside or outside of the leg part. A seam begins at the waist in the center front, continues approximately 9 inches (on the XL); then changes to an upside down U or V shape. Those two seams continue through the crotch area and up the rear approximately 5 inches apart (unstretched) to the back waist band. I found these leggings much more comfortable due to this seam design.
Answered on 12/18/2013 2:21:20 PM by Just Joan7 from North Carolina
    • Yes they have two seams on the butt. So if you are wearing a sweater that is more form fitting, they do show.
      I hope this helps

    • Neither - they are seamless! LOVE them. I do have one bit of advice: you should hand wash OR use soft laundry bag if you plan to wear with skirts. otherwise they get a little nubby after a few trips through the laundry. Irrelevant if you plan to wear as long johns/base layer.
Answered on 12/18/2013 3:37:13 PM by Ann from WI
    • There are no seams on the legs, when I first put these on the crotch felt like it was going to hang to my knees, but they easily adjusted and the ankle stayed at the ankle. Once adjusted they stay in place and are oh so comfortable. The seams are in the crotch to waist area.
Answered on 12/18/2013 3:50:50 PM by swamsister from great green swamp, Fl
    • There are no seams on the legs, just one seam that goes up the tummy on the front which spits into a Y at the bottom and continues up with two seams going up the back of both cheeks.
