I bought this to use as an outer shirt with jeans or under a blazer or sweater when I want something thin. This is perfect for that. The top is shaped without being tight or constricting. It is thin, not see through and works fine as a shirt as long as you have a similar color undergarment. I also ... Read More

I have gone back to all natural fabrics for laying. Silk and Merino wool. I like Terramar, just be aware, it does snag, so be careful around Velcro and wash in a lingerie bag

This could have been a tad longer for my 5'8" frame, still serviceable though, I just would like it if they made their tops in tall sizes. Other than that it's really well made and I expect many years of wear. It's a little heavier weight than their pointelle knit, but is still silky and comfy next to my skin and fits under just about any of my tops and blouses. I like these for every day wear in the winter and for sleeping in. At the sale price I bought two. Wish they had also offered these in the bottoms. Ran true to size.

For many years, my first layer of winter clothing has been a terramar silk long sleeved undershirt. I recently bought two new black ones. I realized when they arrived that they were different from the ones that I first received and I have tried to evaluate the changes. There are two: one is better, the other less so. The best change is that the fabric is less subject to running (like a stocking) because it is reinforced but not heavier. ( I always use a zip nylon bag for washing them---so they go into the gentle cycle with no problems.)
The other change is less satisfactory; it is that the wrists are no longer cuffed. They have a loose piece of elastic on them instead of the original cuff.
All in all, I will continue to buy them since this silk undershirt meets my needs the best.

The silk is a good quality, but I wish it were longer.

This isn't the nicest silk top I've ever owned, but the price is right and I'm loving it. In fact, I bought three. Perfect as a next-to-skin layer on cold days, adds a lot of warmth and absolutely NO bulk. The scoop neck assures no one else will know you are wearing layers. Delicate wash, hang dry, so care is easy. Definitely an under-layer, not a wear-alone top. I wear mine for errand runs to town, hikes with the dog, and snowshoeing. All around comfort. I'm wearing one as I type this review!

    • This top weighs next to nothing. I love it that it's so light and yet warm. When I lived in Seattle, I lived in these every winter. Superb.

    • On my scale, 2.6 oz. Being silk and "...lightweight ...", nothing sticks to them and they fit beneath everything without bulk; but, being silk, they should be handled with respect as if not, runs could develop. I have mended my old ones with no problem and absolutely love 'em; nothing keeps me as warm as these!

  • “What's/where's is the sizing chart say for this top?”
Asked by Wondering from Kansas on 11/13/2014 3:44:57 PM
    • I didn't look at the chart. The small is true to size--in the 4-6 range. the sleeves are a little short, but that works for me under sweaters. I was looking for lightweight and snug-ish. It doesn't fit me tight. 5'7", wear a medium in most tops. The small worked for these parameters for me.
