I've made reviews about this product on here before.

I give it as presents to folks regularly.

This buy is a no brainer. It's warm, thin and when you put it under dress clothes or regular clothes, it feels like you're naked, it's that close to the skin.

It is anti-microbial and you don't have to ... Read More

  • “Is this Terramar Thermasilk underwear bottoms??? I just want to make sure its the Thermasilk, I am not sure if there is a difference. ”
Asked by Wujekcity from Connecticut on 2/16/2015 2:34:08 PM
    • Yes, they are Terramar Thermasilk. Albeit very thin silk and the person they were purchased for was not happy with them; said he felt like he was wearing pantyhose. Returned.

    • They are terramar "sportsilks", 100% silk. My husband wears them as first layer under his jeans. He loves this layer, been buying them for years. They're thin, but that's what he likes. He works out of doors, so when it's really cold, he wears coveralls over jeans. He also wears them when he golfs,in cooler weather. Launder separately, gentle cycle. They last fairly long time.

    • Honestly don't know! Really don't if there is a difference or just a brand name. I own several pairs of silk long underwear. Never seen any difference between brands.

    • All the ones we have (and have been getting these for years including our most recent order a few weeks ago) say SportSilks by Terramar. The quality is exceptional and exactly what keeps us buying repeatedly. Using frequently, and machine washed on delicate cycle, these last husband and i get these for him and i get the female equivalent. Love these!

  • “do they have a fly for the man”
Asked by handgunner from pa on 11/28/2014 8:25:08 AM
    • Yes there is an opening in the front, sometimes hard to find because the material is very thin (which I like since I am in and out of the building frequently).

    • I'm not sure of the actual weight..but they're very thin..I would compare them to the thinnest pair of women's hosiery.I'm a sales rep and I wear the bottoms and the tops under my business dress. Just enough warmth without the bulkiness..hope this helps..Eric

    • Next to nothing. True to size did not shrink after wash and should be washed in a protective bag to avoid snags or hand wash.

    • I returned them because they are the thickness of nylons. They didn't seem warm enough to even waste the money on and I wouldn't want to be seen in them without pants, as they look like nylons. They are good quality but just a lot lighter that what I was expecting. Maybe I'm just used to a midweight, this was a first for me.

    • measured on my kitchen scale....

FWIW, I also measured the medium shirt: 1.75 ounces

    • They are definitely see-through thin and probably weigh only ounces.

    • No idea to the actual weight but they are very thin and comfortable. They are actually translucent. I have a pair and am really enjoying them as sleepwear and underwear during the cold season.

    • As far as grams go, I don't know their exact weight. They are very thin and light. The material has a nice feel.

    • they are very light, the perfect weight to wear under a pair of jeans or khakis. My husband wears them every day during the winter. He says their like a second layer of skin...just enough to keep the cold out. In the South they are just enough to keep you warm.
Answered on 2/14/2014 11:11:05 AM by Sophie from Georgia
    • They are very lightweight - perfect for wearing under other clothing! This is what I
love about them. They weigh 2.4 oz. BUT I do not have a sophisticated digital scale
on which to weigh the bottoms
just what I would describe as an ordinary scale.
      Hope this helps, EKM

    • I had to return this item as they were too long for my husband. My best advise on weight would be to go to the Terramar website. What I can say is this item was a bit heavier than some of this uktra lightweight silk bottoms that we already own.

    • XXL. Baggy until washed once. you can wash in regular washer, and dry med heat. They are very thin but really do the job.

    • Boy I don't know how much of an expert I'll be on sizing but here's my best guess! I'm a 30" waist and a 30" inseam so would take a small according to the size chart. And that is the size I initially bought when I first bought these long johns. However, I found that they shrank some and became rather tight. I think they wore out faster because they were tight so next time I got them I ordered them in a medium. If I ordered a pair of pants with a 32-34" waist they would fall right off me, however, these long johns in that size are still plenty tight around my 30" waist and are in no danger whatsoever of falling off. My guess is that your husband, because he is so tall, could probably go with the XL rather than the L, just because they run quite a bit smaller than they are sized. It's the waist size I'd be aiming for as the length hasn't been a problem. Hope this is somewhat useful but don't be mad at me if I get it wrong! I love these long johns....they are super comfortable and perfect for layering. I make sure to buy a couple of pairs every year to wear around the house and for PJs too.
