Most Helpful 5-Star Review

5.0 out of 5 stars. Kept me cool!
Reviewed by Anonymous from Los Angeles on Wednesday, July 5, 2017
I wore this hooded shirt while backpacking the Inca trail in Peru.

I thought it not only performed very well (wicking sweat away to cool me, and also keeping me warm), but it looked super cute, was very comfortable, and was light/ packed down well.

The only negative I can think of is that the seams/ threading have already begun to fray/ wear, but I'd still buy this shirt again in a heartbeat.

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. VERY thin and clingy, runs small

This shirt is VERY thin (as in, I can't imagine wearing it without another layer underneath). It's also very clingy/form-fitting so unless you've got a flawless figure, it's probably not going to be very flattering. I'm usually a S or M; based on other reviews I ordered in both M and L but even the large looked ridiculously tight. I'm giving 3 stars for quality (based on my overall experience with this brand) and technical features, but sadly this won't work for me...

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Pros and Cons to the thin material

I've only worn this a couple of times so far, so I'm still making up mind about it, but I have some solid first impressions. At this point, I generally like the shirt, but it isn't quite the standalone, multi-use shirt I had hoped it would be. I would probably rate it closer to 3.5 stars.
The material is super thin, which is great because it means it's really lightweight and breaths incredibly well for being out in the sun. I stayed quite cool while running uphill in the sun, and was pretty happy about not having to slather on sunscreen before heading out. However, the thin material is also fairly translucent and a bit clingy, so the feeling of being exposed is something to keep in mind. I'm also not sure how durable this will be in the long run.
I bought this shirt in yellow, and it is bright! I wanted something visible for running, so this fits the bill, but if it was toned down a bit from the highlighter effect, it might transition better into being a more casually wearable shirt.
I have purchased other shirts from Terramar and have always worn small. The sizing guide also confirmed that I would be a small for this shirt, but it is actually a bit tighter than I tend to wear my exercise shirts. I would think about a medium next time, especially if they had a color I wanted in medium. I'm a little over 5'5'' and weigh about 140 lbs.
  • 5.0 out of 5 stars. Really Pretty

This is a really pretty pink as pictured. It is very lightweight and airy. It does however wrinkle badly if you stuff in a bag.
  • 4.0 out of 5 stars. Nice overall base

This is a little tight for the size (med) and have to be aware what shows. But for a second layer on running is really nice. Wife really likes it overall.
