Bought the product for a kayak trip to replace an older wool/silk blend pair I'd worn out after years of winter use in Alaska. Very happy with the product. The length might be a problem for some. I am only 5'2" and found them adequately long and not too long.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by SW Hiker from NM on Wednesday, November 30, 2016I was hoping these would be thick enough to wear as leggings but they're more like tights. I love wool--I wear Icebreaker and Ibex every day. But these were itchy the second I tried them on. Returned. I got the Ibex Tavern Pants instead.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by Jenny from Wisconsin on Monday, November 21, 2016If I was going to get these again, I'd size down to a medium, they wear loose. I was surprised they were so thin. My cheap fleece lined leggings are warmer.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by STP mom from California on Thursday, November 3, 2016A little rougher and itchier than my smartwools, but a good less expensive alternative.

Verified Buyer Reviewed by mo from Albuquerque on Tuesday, October 11, 2016I historically only buy Smartwool but am beginning to appreciate the lower cost of Terramar. These bottoms are soft, warm, and comfy!

Verified Buyer Reviewed by NorCal from Tahoe, CA on Wednesday, March 2, 2016Wore this pair of base layers one time, washed them once, and the next time I put them on I noticed the entire back seam had split open. Normally I purchase Smartwool and should have stuck to their brand. Never again will I be buying this brand, obviously it was cheaper for a reason. Waste of money!!!

Sorry but I don't know. They are - in my opinion. - mid weight; very soft and warm as additional layer.

Just checked the tag on mine. Yes, they are 100% pure Australian merino wool.
-
Thank you
-
'not sure if they are "merino" but they are very soft and "itch-free". They do run "short" but I prefer shorter so they don't interfere with boots. I'm very pleased with them.

According to the product specs above: Fabric: 100% merino wool

I ordered the small and the inseam length on them is 29. For an xl I would assume it would be a little bit longer. I hope this helps.
-
-
-
I have the medium and the inseam is about 29 inches. But the fabric is stretchy, so I can't measure precisely.
-
Don't know about the XL, I have the L. And the inseam on those is about 29"

They are heavyweight according to the specs.
