Verified Buyer Reviewed by Minnkota Kids from North Dakota on Thursday, March 26, 2015We let our girls pick out a pair of summer sandals and they purchased these. They are so excited for summer they've been wearing them around the house. These will be great at the lake and everyday wear around the house/town.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Alex from Davis, CA on Sunday, December 21, 2014So far (couple of weeks) my kid loves them. They're very light, compared with the source sandals that hy usually wears. Not yet sure if they will alos survive as long as source sandals do

I bought them for my 6 year old grandson and didn't remember boys sizes either! I bought boys size 7 and they fit me, a women's size 8. They are great sandals/ water/ garden shoes, so I kept them. Quite good arch support for such a sandal. Ordered a size 4 for him, since he had several months yet to grow before summer. They are large and he wears socks with them. He wears a youth size 3 shoe, and right now, a size 3 in this sandal would be the best fit.. And besides, since they were no longer a surprise, he got to choose the color--blue, this time.
It's been a while since I've had small children in the house but as I recall shoes progressed in sizing within their group of infant to children's to youth to adult. I'm not sure where "kids" fits in on the spectrum but that's the name on the box "Teva Kids". I wear a women's size 7 to 8 depending upon the style and manufacturer's sizing. I discovered some time ago that I like the fit of a boy's (youth) hiking boot in a size 5. I have a medium width foot but if I want to add a heavy sock I have found I like a little extra width which a boy's boot provides. These Teva Barracuda sandals in a size 6 are a good fit for me. If I had to guess on a conversion I would say women's size 7 to youth size 5, women's size 8 to youth size 6. These add a little in length, maybe 1/2 inch, which I like in a water sandal. Probably a woman's size 6 would be a youth size 4. I would recommend that the next time you are in a shoe store check out the "youth " section and try on a few pairs in different styles to see if they fit comfortably. Good luck.
As I understand it, you subtract two shoe sizes. So a ladies 6 would be a youth 4. Kids refers to little kids, as in toddler shoe sizes, but youth refers to older kids. I hope this helps!
“I am looking at the Barracuda for my daughters. They are 10 & 11 years old. Just want to make sure these are not only toddler size. We are planning to wear them to a rocky beach after Christmas. Help? Would like to order ASAP for a Christmas present. Thanks. ”
These are the bigger kids sizes.
