Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Reviewed by ReggaeCupcake from Washington State on Monday, September 12, 2016Avid hiker so heres the scoop.
Tread- really grips, climbing wet rocks and no slips. Just now loosing grip on a slippery vertical climb because after 3 years the tread is wearing down.
Waterproof- well tested and I've never had any leaks even standing in a river for 5 minutes (tested)
Brearhable- even though its waterproof the shoes breath. No over heated sweaty feet.
Lightweight, very comfortable, and has good ankle support
Little extras like they tie easy and come on/off easy are great when its cold and bending down to put on or take off can be hard. Just remembrr to warm your laces before you tie to prevent snapping.
Can't speak highly enough about these shoes. I'm looking for my second pair now because they've started wearing on the tread after 3 years of rugged nw terrain. Its the only hiking shoes I'll wear for weekend and daily trips. (might go with something a little more rugged for long ie 4+ day trips)
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Steelheaded from Oregon on Wednesday, February 11, 2015I loved getting back to square laces that say tied, to metal D grommets that let you loosen and tighten easily but the toe box felt too narrow and the heel too loose La Trec.
Oh well. Mostly, Teva is always a good bet.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by dog walker from Colorado on Friday, December 19, 2014These are comfortable and offer good support. This is my second pair and I wear them all the time.

Reviewed by japiopian from Michigan on Wednesday, July 10, 2013I followed the previous reviews' advice and purchased a 1/2 size larger, which was wise (because they fit perfect!).
I haven't had a chance to try them out in the field yet, but I think they're going to be great. They're light, comfortable, rugged, and waterproof - everything I'm looking for! Compared to other hiking shoe brands, I've had the best luck with Teva. You can definitely rely on them for a quality product and comfortable fit.

“How are Teva boot/shoe sizings in relation to their sandal sizes? I have a Teva size 5 sandal that says it is equal to a European size 36...but in other boots and shoes I wear a 5 1/2 or 6...what do you think?”
The 5 1/2 in this shoes is a Euro 36, so you would want to order a 5 1/2.
Each boot weighs 14 oz.
