Nice sandal, comfortable but back strap should be longer, so size up

The footbed is the right length for its size to wear as a slide without the back strap, but if you use that strap, it pushes your foot too far forward. So if you want to use the back strap, STP's advice to size up is correct. Otherwise it's a very comfortable and attractive sandal, with good cushioning and arch support. Teva should have made the back strap longer. You can lengthen that strap as it has a Velcro closure, but then the black Velcro will stick out, which doesn't match the gray of the shoe and may catch on some synthetic pants. I already had the similar Numa (vs this Numa Print) sandal which doesn't have this problem, but the Numa's back strap attaches further back on the side straps, which accounts for the difference (and both versions have the same length size 8 footbed—I measured). So I'm returning my Numa Print as I want to use the back strap and because I'm concerned sizing up won't allow me to adjust them as tight in front.
