Old, comfortable, reliable design

I say "old" on the review's heading because I picked up my first pair of these around three or so years ago. Being a boot wearer for back-country pursuits, I bought them because I though they looked good and I figured they'd be good for wearing in daily life. But they quickly became my favorite pair of shoes for everything from informal social gatherings to taking on trails in and around my Colorado home. To name a few places, these shoes reliably took me through Arches and Rocky Mountain National Parks, Colorado National Monument, myriad Colorado State Parks, and anywhere where I needed something reliable on my feet. After a lot of miles and serious beating, they finally started to come apart. But I persisted with them for general walking around. Last year, I finally had to cut the top of one of them open so that I could wear them home following a foot injury on the road that had my foot blow up like a balloon. I was seriously disappointed when I couldn't find a new pair to buy. But here they are on Sierra Trading Post. My new pair is currently on the way to me, and I'm couldn't be happier about it!
