Just got my third color pair of versatile Tirra Slides. They are incredibly comfortable & supportive for a relatively flat sandal. I wear them at home like slippers & going to the pool where they don't slip. They wash beautifully, but the grey surface rarely looks soiled. Light & slender to pack for... Read More

  • “Are the soles non-marking?”
Asked by GL from PA on 2/11/2017 9:16:39 AM
    • Although, I haven't wore them yet, I figured they were because of their soft gray soles. I just did the paper test raking one shoe across the white paper, extremely hard. I did this numerous times and saw about three very, very faint marks on the paper. They were almost like an oil instead of the rubber from the shoe. My conclusion would have to be yes, they are non marking. Very nice shoes for a small price.

    • The soles on my Teva slides are definitely non-marking.

    • I don't believe they are because I wear them indoors on wood and linoleum kitchen floors and they do not leave any marks.

    • I do not know why they sent this question for me to answer, I am a consumer, not an employee. But, that would be my question as well, since they are the only shoe I can wear due to my heel pain.

Occasionally we are able to reorder a product, but closeout items are typically unable to be reordered. We suggest signing up for the My Updates as the best way to monitor incoming products. • “Does this have an arch support?”
Asked by Marissa from Vancouver on 4/18/2016 11:44:31 PM
    • I have 4 pair now, I do not want them to go instinct on me! This shoe has what they call an anatomic foot bed. It raises up at the arch line of your foot, as you can see in the photo. I have extremely high arches and this shoe is the only shoe I wear now, constantly. I do have two pair of the sandal's that you slide your toe in-between, they also have the anatomic foot bed, and the heel shoc pad. Love them! And I have very painful feet if I do not wear these shoes all the time, it is 6 am. in the morning and I have them on right now.

    • Yes, the Teva Tirra Slide sandals have a fairly good support for your arches. They are made of a blendable molded sole. I have very flat feet so that is one of the reasons I like these sandals so much. Most of my sandals are leather with good arch support. I love these to wear to a pool or beach because they are not like flip flops which most people wear for those purposes. I can't wear those because there isn't any support (and I don't like anything between my toes). They can slip off your feet fairly easily but they have Velcro to adjust to your feet, which helps a lot. It's not usually a problem for me because they hug my feet well. I'm from Michigan but we have vacationed in Florida and Cancun since I purchased them. Hope this helps!

    • Thery were not the usual Teva sandal foot bed. I thought they seemed very flat.

    • Yes, these shoes do have some arch support. Just make sure to get your correct size. I wear a nine, but got 9 1/2 to wear with heavier socks. Just that half size difference threw off the support placement. Plus, I didn't need to go up 1/2 size because the adjustment straps across the top are excellent for widening or narrowing. I returned the 9 1/2 for a 9 :-)

    • I wear a 10 and my first pair was a 10, they seemed 1/2 size to big. My other ones are a 91/2 and they fit perfect. I do not wear any socks with them, so maybe in your case you should order your real size. Hope this helps

    • thats what i use mine for too! i think 1/2 size bigger will do you. i have room for socks and mine are 1/2 size bigger. i don't think you'd be happy with a whole size bigger and the arch may not fit where you'd want to ti. plus, these have stretch!

    • I, too, have a narrow to medium width (more on the narrow side, but often medium is all there is and is always fine). I am also a nine. I use these on tile floors, at night often with medium weight socks. While I can't be sure, since the width is adjustable-- see that strap nearest the toe. I t has velcro-like closure -- I think all but the heaviest socks would be fine. Hope this helps.

    • Correction. The velcro closure is on the strap farthest from the toe. Sorry.

    • My size fits me perfect fit but if you are wearing them with a thick sock I recommend a 1/2 size up.

    • I usually wear a size 8 between medium and wide. However, Teva's run a little large. I ordered a 7.5 and if its fine without socks, but probably would be a little tight with socks. So, since your feet are narrower than mine, perhaps your regular size 9 would work with socks. I don't know if you would want them larger, but not more than 1/2 size up. I am wearing them now around the house now.....

    • Sorry, no idea. Too many variables. I have never tried mine with socks but I suspect it would be tight at the front.

    • I usually wear a size 5 1/2, the slides fit perfectly. I enjoy the style, they are comfortable, and probably could wear them with socks in the winter. Inside shoes is a good idea, carpet wouldn't get soiled as easily. I have walked in them all day and haven't had a problem. (I have flat feet).

    • I ordered my true size. Have been very pleased with them and if you have a N to M width, you should be fine without ordering up.

    • According to our fit models this item is running true to size.

    • The sandals stay on my feet well. The colored strap on top of the rubbery band that goes over the forefoot can be tightened.

    • I have done a lot of walking in these sandals and they are not at all like flip flops. The wide, soft material ( not sure what it is, but it doesn't rub and stays cool and dry even in hot and humid conditions) under the strap covers quite a bit of the foot and the one strap cleverly tightens the whole area.

    • I feel they stay where they are suppose to be. I would order 1/2 size down. My first pair were size 10 and I like them but the second pair 9 1/2 fits perfect. I actually wore these when I did some extensive digging and gardening. No problem, love them.

    • Under the "upper" ribbon strap (closest to the ankle) is velcro for adjustment. Mine do NOT slip n' slide even without tightening. While I wear a size10 in enclosed shoes, I wear a 9.5 in sandals which allows for a more snug but comfortable fit. Another perk: These TEVAs have better support than similar style Merrells which usually cost more.
Answered on 8/7/2015 7:33:39 AM by mommala from fort worth tx
    • I have found them to be secure. They also have a velcro strap to tighten slightly if need be.

    • They don't slide around as much as flip-flops and I feel I can drive in them, whereas I don't wear flip-flops to drive. These have quite good arch support in the footbed and I can stand for quite a while in them. If I'm walking a ways outside though, I wear my more rugged Teva sandals withe the ankle strap. These are more decorative, fine at the office and around the house, but not for long walks, at least for me. I'm glad I bought them.

    • They stay on my foot, but they do 'flip' like flip flops when you walk.
Answered on 8/7/2015 1:51:37 PM by Melissa from Washington
    • They do stay securely on my feet, but I have an average width (B) . My daughter has narrow feet and she tried them on and said they did slip a bit. There is a Velcro strap across the front of the foot that can be made tighter, but I have never had to adjust mine. Hope this helps.

    • I am not a flip-flop person, but I more or less know what you mean. These DO slap at the heel whenyou walk, but they donot slide around. There is a slim velcro strap on the top part to let one tighten as needed.

    • These stay very well on my feet! There is a velcro closure over the "wet-suit" material, so you can slide your foot in and tighten until it's comfortable.
