Very functional, comfortable

I will preface this review by saying a) I have only had these a short time and b) I will never think that Tevas are good looking. I do think, however, that these are very functional and comfortable sandals. I have wide feet, and I was happy to find that these fit fine out of the box, true to size. I'd expect so, given the play of velcro straps in adjusting the fit, but one never knows. I will say that there could be a little more real estate on the velcro strapping for those of us with high volume toe boxes. I can adjust it ok, but for me a little longer strap would mean a little better security. The footbed might even be too wide for those with narrow feet. I will have to see if my feet are happy in these for long distances; I have worn them out for about a mile or two at a time, and they are comfortable so far. The ankle strap is less easy to find the best fit than the toe straps, actually, though I think I'll figure out better where I want to adjust it and it will feel more natural over time. The footbeds are nice and padded and the sole seems flexible without being overly giving. I am skeptical if I'd want to actually hike in these, but they are definitely more comfortable than any other sandals I've worn and far more secure than flip-flops or slides. I think I will put many miles on these this spring and summer and at the price I got them, they were a great deal. Maybe I'll become a Teva believer after all.
