  • Great hiking shoes

I had a previous pair of North Face hiking shoes that I wore for years. These will be a perfect replacement...waterproof...sturdy...but much lighter than the all leather ones. The best part was that they were about half the retail price! What's not to like?

This is my second pair of these light hikers and I was really happy to find them at such a good price. Last year I wore them on the Alta Via 1 in the Dolomites and they provided good comfort and excellent cushioning on the rocky trails. The trend to wearing lighter hiking shoes means you arrive feeling less tired. I have many pairs of heavier leather hiking boots, but these have become my "go to" pair for just about every hike. They are still in great shape and the new ones will just be my back up pair, in case The North Face stops making them.
  • Quality Shoes

These are very supportive and cushy as advertised. I thought they would be a little cooler for summer walking and hiking. I was a little disapointed about that. That was the reason for only the 4 stars. When I am going for the long walk or hike these are my go to shoes, even thought they are a little warm. The comfort out weights the temperature.

About The North Face

Believe it or not, The North Face story didn’t begin on a high-altitude ascent. It actually began in San Francisco at less than 200 feet above sea level. However, what started as a neighborhood mountaineering shop has since evolved into an industry-leading, award-winning outdoor equipment and apparel brand. Since its inception more than 40 years ago, The North Face has grown to include clothing and gear designed for nearly every type of adventure, from alpine skiing to backpacking to trail running. Today, The North Face jackets and pants are chosen by world-class athletes, and The North Face rugged boots help carry explorers through the toughest terrain, from the icy slopes of Everest to Utah’s Green River basin.
