I am generally happy with this purchase - they are a nice color (very bright) and are nicely fitted. I don't like how baggy ski pants sometimes are, both because of look and air resistance. Other reviews complain about the material and lack of venting. The venting present is a mesh-like lining in the areas described that keeps the pant from contacting your base layers. I've cross country skied about 10 times now in these pants both on groomed and non-groomed trails. They've worked fantastic up in the mountains in single digit temps with just 1 base layer below. The material is sturdy and holds up well. No sign of weakness or rips after about 25 hours of use.

These are fine for the price. Basic and simple. NO VENTS OR BOOT HOOK. Tags are mismarked.

One thing I would note, which I was aware of from previous reviews, is that they are fairly thin. It's a good water-proof material, but it has no insulation, so will need a warm layer underneath.

About The North Face

Believe it or not, The North Face story didn’t begin on a high-altitude ascent. It actually began in San Francisco at less than 200 feet above sea level. However, what started as a neighborhood mountaineering shop has since evolved into an industry-leading, award-winning outdoor equipment and apparel brand. Since its inception more than 40 years ago, The North Face has grown to include clothing and gear designed for nearly every type of adventure, from alpine skiing to backpacking to trail running. Today, The North Face jackets and pants are chosen by world-class athletes, and The North Face rugged boots help carry explorers through the toughest terrain, from the icy slopes of Everest to Utah’s Green River basin.
