I had a pair of TNF bibs years ago, still use them to work outside in the winter. they had full side zips, a chest pocket, and drop seat.

These bibs are similar but different, they fit very slim. I purchased medium and wear a size 31 or 32 waist. I would say I am an average build (weigh 163 #). the suspender attachment fits me snugly which isn't an issue really. I put the bibs over my first upper layer and then layer over as needed.

I used them about 15 times this spring in full on blizzards, sunny days and rainy days ... never got wet.

The suspender straps are situated so they sort of irritate my nipples if the straps are too tight, didn't really notice it after a few days when I learned to slightly loosen the straps. Didn't wear a pack with them so I cannot comment on if that is an issue. Pockets are situated in useful places with easy to use zippers. Chest pocket is all but useless. I didn't like the feel of a phone or hard item in there (ribs) and it's hard to reach when layered.

Powder cuffs work very well over boots, zipper goes low enough for quick tree stops but if #2 calls, it takes some time to get these suckers down (plan ahead) I miss the drop seat!
  • straps in uncomfortable place

I bought these for my husband (5' 6" and 175 lbs). They fit well, with the exception of the straps. He said they were sewn in an uncomfortable place (too far to the side) and therefore returned them. Otherwise, they seem to be a great price for the quality.

About The North Face

Believe it or not, The North Face story didn’t begin on a high-altitude ascent. It actually began in San Francisco at less than 200 feet above sea level. However, what started as a neighborhood mountaineering shop has since evolved into an industry-leading, award-winning outdoor equipment and apparel brand. Since its inception more than 40 years ago, The North Face has grown to include clothing and gear designed for nearly every type of adventure, from alpine skiing to backpacking to trail running. Today, The North Face jackets and pants are chosen by world-class athletes, and The North Face rugged boots help carry explorers through the toughest terrain, from the icy slopes of Everest to Utah’s Green River basin.
