I bought this for my daughter to keep warm in Tennessee at college. She loved it and said she has had many compliments. She is 5'3 and 115, so I wondered if the size medium would be to large. She likes the fit, has room for sweaters underneath to add layers of warmth. The waterproofing keeps her com... Read More

So far, this has been a great addition to my wardrobe. I'm trying to focus on quality over quantity, getting rid of items in favor of one, high-quality product that will last for a long time. We've had a rainy, cold spring, interspersed with a few sunny days ... this has been perfect and has kept me dry and warm. I got the blue jacket and love the exterior color, but am not crazy about the color of the lining. It's very bright and seems more appropriate for a child. But it is warm and not many people will notice, since it is the lining.

Fits well, keeps me warm on those windy days on the bay and it looks great. I love the hood and the fact that you can take it off if you wish. The only complaint I have is that it crinkles like paper so it's kind of a noisy little jacket. But, it serves my purposes so I will keep it, but I just wish it wasn't so noisy!! That's why I gave it a four.

I got this coat for my daughter-in-law and she told me she loved it. It was very well made and warm but she has large hips and the extra large I got was too tight for her. I don't know if she is unusually large there or if the coat was just cut too tight. Other than that it would have gotten 5 stars.

I am an avid backpacker and outdoorsmen. I have been trying to get my wife to go out with me on my adventures by buying her gear. It fails Anyway I bought her this jacket basically because of the low price and it was black. (her only requirment was color). She used it last week during a late winter snow we had here in Virginia and it kept her warm and dry (wet snow). It doesnt show it but this jacket has patches of thick fleece on the inside back panel and sides (think faux fur). The wife said this kept her warm and she likes that the hood is detachable. All in all this is a great light winter jacket but I wouldnt use in temps lower than 0.

Worn this jacket outside several times with only a t-shirt underneath - I have stayed warm. My only complaint is if you wear layers the zippers for the armpit vents can be uncomfortable.

About The North Face

Believe it or not, The North Face story didn’t begin on a high-altitude ascent. It actually began in San Francisco at less than 200 feet above sea level. However, what started as a neighborhood mountaineering shop has since evolved into an industry-leading, award-winning outdoor equipment and apparel brand. Since its inception more than 40 years ago, The North Face has grown to include clothing and gear designed for nearly every type of adventure, from alpine skiing to backpacking to trail running. Today, The North Face jackets and pants are chosen by world-class athletes, and The North Face rugged boots help carry explorers through the toughest terrain, from the icy slopes of Everest to Utah’s Green River basin.
