Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Average American Apparel Shopper from The United States of America on Tuesday, January 24, 2017Great with under-layers. Truly blocks the chill of the wind. This is my third review because I bought three of them.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by AndyP from Los Angeles on Wednesday, January 11, 2017This is a stylish, slim-cut runner's jacket that compliments the body well. It is well-made and comfortable. It is becoming the number one jacket I reach for when I need one. However, these run a bit large according to the recommended sizes for chest width. I have a 43" measured chest which seemed to best fit a LARGE size. However, I had to return it for the MEDIUM because the jacket was too baggy. The medium size fits me great. I am 5'8" tall.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Average American Apparel Shopper from The United States of America on Tuesday, December 6, 2016With further review after owning and using this a while it should be noted that the pockets have to be zipped closed to assure that the wind (and cold) don't get in. There is a very porous mesh liner that separates the inside pocket from one's chest area. Also, really strong wind can be felt a little through the front zipper so I would recommend two or maybe three layers for when it's really nippy.
The Goretex makes the overall experience very tolerable and not cold and clammy. I would suppose that's what's inferred by the term, "self regulating". This only becomes apparent when engaging in vigorous exercise where there's a lot of sweating and a significant difference in ambient temperature in relation to the skin temperature.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Average American Apparel Shopper from The United States of America on Tuesday, November 29, 2016Everything is fine with this jacket--it's very well made, and generates a pleasant experience along with vigorous exercise under chilly weather conditions. The sweat just doesn't seem to accumulate enough to make for discomfort, even when it's quite windy. Cold running days are not dreadful.
The fit is impressive.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Huja from SFO on Tuesday, April 19, 2016Jacket is probably good to 40-55F give or take but what is most useful in my opinion is the Windstopper. The wind is a far greater headache than cold air temps on a run. Not crazy about the thumb holes but it seems they are on every piece of active wear these days. Though there is reflective trim on the jacket, I would wear a light or a neon-colored vest if running at night.

Good question, I really don't know for sure.
Wait, let me tear it apart entirely and I'll let you know.
Is there a way to determine this without destroying the garment?
Of course, you might want to call the manufacturer, because I can't use the jacket anymore if I tear it apart for you to determine the answer.
sometimes its pretty obvious by the feel of the fabric - are there different panels that feel different or does it all feel the same? i don't think it was an unreasonable question, but hey, thanks for being so helpful )
