This is a great travel backpack. The 27L size is big enough to carry a bunch of stuff but small enough to fit under a plane seat. It has the standard main compartment that carries a laptop (and my CPAP), a front compartment with organizer pockets, the standard external water bottle pockets, and a bungee cord on the outside I use to carry my raincoat when it gets wet. This pack has all the things you expect from North Face - - - meaning quality materials and construction. And the STP price is half of retail. I bought a few of these for my kids, nieces, and nephews who are all big-time travelers. The only reason not to buy this pack is if your load is so heavy you need a waist belt. This pack does not have one.

Purchased this for a gym bag as much as for a pack for long bike trail rides. It is just the right size for both as I can fit sneakers, water, extra shirt, pants etc with no problem. Good straps and weight distribution.

About The North Face

Believe it or not, The North Face story didn’t begin on a high-altitude ascent. It actually began in San Francisco at less than 200 feet above sea level. However, what started as a neighborhood mountaineering shop has since evolved into an industry-leading, award-winning outdoor equipment and apparel brand. Since its inception more than 40 years ago, The North Face has grown to include clothing and gear designed for nearly every type of adventure, from alpine skiing to backpacking to trail running. Today, The North Face jackets and pants are chosen by world-class athletes, and The North Face rugged boots help carry explorers through the toughest terrain, from the icy slopes of Everest to Utah’s Green River basin.
