These shoes are very comfortable and don't require a lot of break in. I have a wide forefoot and these shoes have plenty of room for my feet. I have not tried them in the rain yet, so I can't say how they will do when wet.

These boots are fairly comfortable and warm, although the tongue is not long enough to make the boot very comfortable. Consequently, I have to carefully tie the boots in order to keep the laces off my socks and shin. All-in-all, aside from the fact that Sierra Trading Post has great deals, The North Face should stick to outerwear and leave boot-making to the pros.

Ordered these for my husband. We were really excited to find an insulated, waterproof, lightweight, good-looking boot for a great price with the coupon. Originally ordered a 10.5, which he wears in running shoes, but they were too large, so exchanged for a 10. Obviously, they're designed to accomodate thicker winter socks. They fit GREAT except he couldn't live with the tongue not extending above the top laces. It was about a 1/4" too short, and the laces dug into the front of his leg. : ( I'm perplexed that other reviewers did not experience this issue.

These boots run at least 1 size too big. I purchased them for my son, they seem to be nice boots, not excellent quality, but good enough.

Nice style. Comfortable. Warm. Fits to size. Feels light. I am wearing them right now during a snow storm. My feet are dry and warm.

I just bought them and have only wore the 3 times, but they were comfortable right out of the box and remained comfortable throughout the day. I have a wide foot, and there is plenty of room in these, so I would say they run wide. I ordered 10.5 mediums hoping they would fit my wide foot and they did.

About The North Face

Believe it or not, The North Face story didn’t begin on a high-altitude ascent. It actually began in San Francisco at less than 200 feet above sea level. However, what started as a neighborhood mountaineering shop has since evolved into an industry-leading, award-winning outdoor equipment and apparel brand. Since its inception more than 40 years ago, The North Face has grown to include clothing and gear designed for nearly every type of adventure, from alpine skiing to backpacking to trail running. Today, The North Face jackets and pants are chosen by world-class athletes, and The North Face rugged boots help carry explorers through the toughest terrain, from the icy slopes of Everest to Utah’s Green River basin.
