I bought a half size up and the boot is still too tight with one pair of socks. The boot size also runs more narrow than most boots.

This is the coldest, snowiest winter I've ever had, and I'm grateful to have found these at STP! Pretty stiff at first, but they're softening up. The traction is decent, but the warmth and indestructible feel of them is incredible. The one downside (and I've had this in Sorels, too) is slippage in the heel (socks tend to start falling down). This is probably due to having skinny (not narrow, just not bulky) feet and ankles - it's hard to get any tall, big, stiff boot tight enough.

These boots slip on and tie up in a matter of seconds. They are very warm and stay dry. They also have great support. I just finished shoveling out of two snow storms 12" and 18". It was nice to not have to worry about my feet and concentrate on the task at hand.

About The North Face

Believe it or not, The North Face story didn’t begin on a high-altitude ascent. It actually began in San Francisco at less than 200 feet above sea level. However, what started as a neighborhood mountaineering shop has since evolved into an industry-leading, award-winning outdoor equipment and apparel brand. Since its inception more than 40 years ago, The North Face has grown to include clothing and gear designed for nearly every type of adventure, from alpine skiing to backpacking to trail running. Today, The North Face jackets and pants are chosen by world-class athletes, and The North Face rugged boots help carry explorers through the toughest terrain, from the icy slopes of Everest to Utah’s Green River basin.
