Great shorts for long runs with the built in spandex. Only negative is the the ugly pattern. Overall good product by North Face.
  • Good Shorts

I did a ten-mile run in these yesterday. The material is comfortable and I didn't have any chafing. The fit at the waist seems a bit loose compared to other North Face running shorts I've bought in the past year; that bothered me a little.

  • Won't use them for running but...

Nice price on some useful shorts. The compression material is a bit "non-compression" and more like a long liner. They don't work well for me for running but are good gym shorts. Like the fact that I was able to get a color other than black, which can be tricky for men's running shorts
  • No pockets and odd fit

Somehow, I missed that there are no hand pockets on this (I guess I saw the rear zip pocket and combined it). Also, it's hard to describe, but they fit me awkwardly. Other than that, they seem well-made, but I had to return.

About The North Face

Believe it or not, The North Face story didn’t begin on a high-altitude ascent. It actually began in San Francisco at less than 200 feet above sea level. However, what started as a neighborhood mountaineering shop has since evolved into an industry-leading, award-winning outdoor equipment and apparel brand. Since its inception more than 40 years ago, The North Face has grown to include clothing and gear designed for nearly every type of adventure, from alpine skiing to backpacking to trail running. Today, The North Face jackets and pants are chosen by world-class athletes, and The North Face rugged boots help carry explorers through the toughest terrain, from the icy slopes of Everest to Utah’s Green River basin.
