I haven't had these boots on the trail yet to give them a workout but they feel good and fit good in the time I've worn them casually. They should work well as a good light dayhiking boot.

Have had these for 1 month after keeping these vs some Salomon XA Pro Mids and Scarpa Moraine Mid. The later were twice the cost and better constructed but had narrow toe boxes. One of the pluses with these is a wider toe box. They are quite comfortable for just kicking around, and not stiff. The sole has very good traction on snow and ice. The one drawback is they are hot sometime. Presume it is from the waterproof membrane, but at the end of the day I find myself wanting to take them off because my feet are too warm. Maybe a waterproof shoe is always going to have some element of this. I ordered a 1/2 size larger and they fit perfect.

About The North Face

Believe it or not, The North Face story didn’t begin on a high-altitude ascent. It actually began in San Francisco at less than 200 feet above sea level. However, what started as a neighborhood mountaineering shop has since evolved into an industry-leading, award-winning outdoor equipment and apparel brand. Since its inception more than 40 years ago, The North Face has grown to include clothing and gear designed for nearly every type of adventure, from alpine skiing to backpacking to trail running. Today, The North Face jackets and pants are chosen by world-class athletes, and The North Face rugged boots help carry explorers through the toughest terrain, from the icy slopes of Everest to Utah’s Green River basin.
