About The Sak

Put on a pair of The Sak espadrilles, and you can’t help but feel a little bit Zen. The Sak brand philosophy is all about happiness, freedom, peace and harmony. It was all inspired by a trip to Bali, Indonesia in 1994, when longtime friends Mark Talucci and Todd Elliott left the corporate grind for something more fulfilling. Seeing the beautiful handiwork of the local artisans, the pair came back to the States and founded their own brand. The Sak purses were initially renowned for their crocheted, relaxed styles, and since the brand’s inception in the 1990s, they’ve also branched out with The Sak shoes, jewelry and accessories, all of which still continue to embrace the peaceful, easy way of living.
