I have to preface this by saying that I have to be able to fit an orthotic brace into a shoe and that is not always easy. This shoe works well in that aspect. Okay, the length actually seems a tad long, but not bad; in addition, the width is comfortable for my average width foot and the foot with a brace. What is kind of strange are the plastic rods that are removed for heel comfort and support. If removed they are really squishy and the sole doesn't appear/feel stable. I also wonder about longevity?. In the end I removed only one of the rods, and I feel like a normal heel would be best.
