Great for lounging around camp, not so great for side sleepers.

I had an air pad fail on me during a recent river trip, which left me a bit miserable at night sleep on the ground. So I wanted something that would not fail me on my latest backpack trip. For $20, this closed-cell foam pad seemed like the perfect solution. Unfortunately I'm a side sleeper and this pad does not provide much comfort for that type of sleeper. However, if you sleep on your back and can find a relatively flat, smooth spot to lay this pad out, you should be fine.

On a more positive note, this pad was awesome for lounging around the campfire at night leaned against a log or rock. I plan on cutting this pad in half and packing it with me as a camp chair for future trips. So for only $20, I'm still pretty happy with my purchase.
