Either factory seconds or age damaged

I'm a big fan of the z-rest for lounging around camp (makes an amazing lightweight chair), but the one I received seems to be either a factory defect or damaged with improper storage. These have to be very old stock, as therm-a-rest hasn't made this style in years (I own the same one from nearly a decade ago). The material on this was warped everywhere, like it was cooked in an oven or super hot warehouse. I'm not totally sure about the effect this has overall, but it didn't seem any more comfortable than the flattened, decade-old one I was trying to replace.
