SOLUTION: Thorlo CoolMax Walking socks easily drip-dry in about 1 full day. He has successfully washed and dried his socks several times now and they are working out perfectly.
ALSO, they are VERY cushiony and soft. They do NOT feel thin or cheap IN ANY WAY!!
I did a price comparison of many different brands of travel socks and these were a very good deal. We RECOMMEND them highly.
