Love these socksVerified Buyer Reviewed by Andy from Houston on Sunday, April 17, 2016Socks are comfortable and work well for skiing.
I have purchased a few different brands from SeirraVerified Buyer Reviewed by AL R from Wethersfield, CT on Thursday, February 18, 2016Comparison: Smart Wool ski socks & boarding socks felt good and worked fine, These particular Thorlo Boarding socks had a slight edge over the Smartwool in warmth and an interesting slippery feel which i found useful while "skiing" not boarding-- based on my personal likes and use, you may have other likes and ski/boarding requirements.. I will now try the Thorlo Ski sock and compare the ski to boarding sock for feel and warmth provided the ski season continues.. If the ski season ends, These socks (and others) should be good for other home or outside activities use till next year.
Nice Sock, Tight FitVerified Buyer Reviewed by JimmyG from Connecticut on Thursday, February 18, 2016Five star socks but, maybe its me, but I thought they were a bit tight. I am 10.5 wide and ordered the size L which is supposed to be for a range of 10.5-12. So keep that in mind. Otherwise the socks are great. I use them under boots when I blow snow and for sleeping on cold nights with the thermostat set at 58.
Medium/Heavy weight over the calf sock, that is of high quality.Verified Buyer Reviewed by Todd from Michigan on Wednesday, February 17, 2016Good for non-insulated hiking boots down to about 20 degs and to 0 degrees in snow board boots.
Great for winter sportsVerified Buyer Reviewed by Elizabeth from New Hampshire on Tuesday, February 16, 2016Bought these for a trip to Iceland that included horseback riding, hiking, and city walking. Wore them with winter boots and felt cozy!
PerfectVerified Buyer Reviewed by B.B. from Israel on Thursday, February 11, 2016Kept my feet worm on the slops.
My regular socks usually smell after a day of skiing but they were not.
Review from actual snowboarderVerified Buyer Reviewed by MikeinCO from Colorado on Tuesday, February 9, 2016I'm giving these 4 out of 5 stars. I've had them out snowboarding on 2 separate occasions. They did an excellent job of keeping my feet warm without being too bulky. The padding was sufficient over the top of the foot and in the heel. Could have used more in the front and back of calf.
Elastic at top does feel flimsy but at the end of both days the socks were still up over my calves. Very comfortable to wear.
I have a pair of wig wam snowboard socks that are better padded and feel like they are constructed more sturdy but they cost 3x as much as these. If I get one season out of these I'll be happy for what I paid for them. Will be interesting to see how long they last. For the price I'd definitely buy a pair and see if they increase your comfort when riding.
Warm and comfyVerified Buyer Reviewed by Paul from Austin, TX on Thursday, February 12, 2015Bought these to wear with a pair of Vasque snow boots (also from STP) for a trip to NYC in Feb. Temps in the low-mid 20s. Feet were warm and dry the whole time. In fact, we ended up walking WAY more than we thought we would because the socks and boots were so warm. I wish I had ordered more.
Wonderful Boot SocksVerified Buyer Reviewed by Gila Monster from New Mexico on Monday, January 26, 2015I do not ski or snowboard but I need full length comfortable socks for wearing in boots and galoshes that don't come down. These fit the bill perfectly. They come right up to the knee preventing the chafing that the top edge of boots can do, especially on cold days, and have plenty of cushioning in all the right places and are warm and soft. After wearing them for a week I was so pleased I immediately bought another pair before STP ran out of them. And, of course, the price was excellent as it always is at STP.
I ain't no snowboarded....butVerified Buyer Reviewed by roby from northwest indiana on Friday, January 16, 2015I'm an outdoors kind of guy...I work outside, I PLAY outside...and these socks keep my feets WARM & DRY all the live long day! The correct shoes & socks make for enjoyable activities from -30 to 30, and every temp in between!
