  • Great work boot
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Ready to work! from Vermont on Saturday, August 11, 2018
I have worn them a few times now and they are very comfortable and true to size. I use them for chainsaw work in the woods and field mowing. They have great traction too.
  • Black ones not what I needed

The black crosscut boot seems different from the brown ones. This review is for the black crosscut work boots.

After one month they are still waterproof. But not comfortable for me at all.

Seems like the black boots fit differently than the brown ones and these black ones are not comfortable for me in the heel or toe area. The lining at the heel wore out in two or three weeks and the hard heel material that is under that lining squeaks with each step when I walk. Not a good thing in addition to being uncomfortable.

These are heavy protective boots with deep rubberized type of cushions in the heel insert, but the cushions in them cause some bounce in the heel and do not keep my feet comfortable at all.

The outside sole and heel design holds mud and debris and is not easy to clean out so I end up tracking dirt and mud inside a lot.

This has not been a good month wearing these boots and I would not recommend them or buy these black ones again.

This boot equals my "heavy" Wolverines, which did an excellent job protecting me from every errant stuck nail, climbing up & around material piles, and much saw work. If you need such a high-durometer, thick Vibram sole, this boot is for you. Fit was spot on for my 12size feet w medium sock -but no more. Excellent buy !

About Timberland

The Timberland footwear brand was officially launched in 1973, more than two decades after founder Nathan Swartz bought an interest in an established shoe company. Eight years earlier, the Swartz family had introduced injection-molding technology to the footwear industry. Today, this revolutionary manufacturing process is still being used to fuse the soles and uppers of Timberland boots without stitching, a process that allows for truly waterproof boots. Over the years, Timberland shoes and boots have continued to advance, incorporating modern features like Active Comfort Technology to provide a balance of cushioning, support and climate control. In 2008, Timberland also became the first footwear company to commercialize the use of rubber from recycled tires.
