I own several Timbuk2 bags and was already a fan before ordering this bag. I'm a bigger fan now - I travel often for work and this is a great timesaver at the airport. With the laptop inside the rear padded compartment, unzip the bag and lay it flat on the x-ray belt. There's no need to remove the laptop to place it in a bin, and no chance the laptop will be left behind since it doesn't leave the bag.

The size medium bag is perfect for either my 13" MacBook Pro or Air, though it could carry both - there is another laptop pocket inside, under the flap. Lots of other pockets make it easy to carry small tech, Kindles, chargers, cables, pens, etc. There is also a large water bottle/coffee cup holder under the flap - large enough to hold a 16 oz Tervis tumbler.

This is a great bag, and with a coupon from STP, this was a great deal - about 1/2 of the suggested price.

I'm a college student. This bag is perfect for me. My 15" laptop fits perfectly in the laptop compartment and I have room for several books and folders in the main compartment. Carries a water bottle and has a soft, padded area for phones/mp3 players too. Good bag.

Padded computer area isn't under the waterproof flap, but there's an unpadded interior sleeve for weatherproof computer storage. Having the computer area in back may be good for TSA, but puts computer closest to where it can get jostled. Main opening well designed for combination of good access and weather protection.

This is an excellent bag. Timbuk2 has done a great job designing this bag for either air travel or general commuting. I'm impressed with the thought that went into designing features that are very practical. Things like the easily adjustable shoulder strap and the key lanyard inside one of the outer pockets. I especially like the TSA computer pocket so you don't have to take out your computer at the airport. Computer is in a separate zippered compartment that lays flat. I'll use this bag to carry my large Bose headphones, Kindle, other reading matter plus a computer and there's plenty of space. I probably could have gotten away with the smaller size. Only drawbacks are the very stiff nylon fabric that will take a while to "break in" and the shoulder strap pad that slides around too easily on the shoulder strap. I will probably replace that with one that has a little more friction to hold to the shoulder. Overall, a really great bag. Would have given 5 stars except for the overly stiff material and the shoulder strap pad.
