2.0 out of 5 stars. Not the same Timbuk, Lower endReviewed by Duke from NY on Thursday, November 15, 2018I used to love Timbuk, from days working as a bike industry rep. Then, Timbuk was made (yep, really made) in San Fran. They would custom sew bags at Interbike and those bags held up. I still have a huge messenger bag (not custom) and its been used on the bike year round, huge loads, etc. I also used it as carry on for airline travel - light weight was key.
Years ago, the company was sold and manufacturing went overseas - not necessarily bad if a good factory is chosen, and some are very good. Initially, the imports were fairly good, and I still have a pack from about 8 years ago (good STP deal then). Now, Timbuk uses various factories, so probably lowest bidder. I got one of these Leader packs before STP had them, at about the same price. Over months, seams and threads have started to unravel, with maybe 25 uses - in fact, my 1st Timbuk/USA bag is in better shape, after hundreds of uses, or more.
More of a mass market, dollar store product. Same as a no name $16 pack. -
4.0 out of 5 stars. Good pack, latch betterVerified Buyer Reviewed by Josh from Rhode Island on Saturday, June 30, 2018Like the pack. Relatively comfortable as a work bag. Side zippers are great for access. The closure system is not great, but otherwise a good pack.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Awesome Pack for WorkVerified Buyer Reviewed by Anonymous from North Carolina on Saturday, May 19, 2018I bought this to use as my weekday pack. It fits everything and my 15.6” laptop. It’s comfortable to wear, but looks professional enough for the office.

3.0 out of 5 stars. Maybe for a larger personVerified Buyer Reviewed by Nina from Minneapolis on Tuesday, April 17, 2018I ordered this because I liked the style, color, and streamlined shape. But, on my 5'2" frame, it just looks ridiculous. The straps are positioned so that the top corners protrude above my shoulders--I look like SpongeBob. No go. Maybe if it came in a smaller size.

5.0 out of 5 stars. Husband Loves ItVerified Buyer Reviewed by Kate 44 from New York on Wednesday, March 23, 2016Got it for my husband for a commuter backpack. He says it looks professional enough for work, but is also really spacious. He also loves the side zips that give you two ways to remove your computer, etc. from the bag.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Good everyday backpack with functionalityVerified Buyer Reviewed by Jo from New York on Tuesday, March 1, 2016I can see that they put some thought into making this bag, not surprising for Timbuk2 products. Though it is very simple, it has useful features like the side zippers and the two not-so-obvious zippered pockets in the front. It distributes weight well. I can carry a 13" laptop with a case, a binder, 2 books and few small items without breaking my back. The side pocket for the water bottle basically useless because its so small. The clips/hooks in the front are not that functional, actually rather hard to get on and off (I guess its secure?). Definitely water resistant, rained the first day I wore it out. Its rather a long backpack, I'm 5'9" female and I still feel that it looks a bit long but does store a good amount. For the price not bad. Like it but not love it.
