purchased for indoor spin class only. Very sturdy. Rounded up to next whole size, fit is slightly large but is is a rigid shoe, so larger is better than too small. I am female, wear size 9 1/2 dress shoe, size 10 running shoe and bought the 42.

I've been riding a pair of Sidi's for about 20 years. These shoes compare favorably to the Sidi's that I paid about $140 back in 1991 when I rode Paris-Brest-Paris. Nice closure system; very smooth operation.

I ride an average of 300 miles on my road bike each week. I bought these MTB shoes because I have to walk my road bike down my 4x4 lane before I can ride... you can't walk in road shoes... I participate in long tours, and road races all in these shoes! I could switch to my road shoes for timed events, but these are so comfortable and fit so well I can't imagine ever riding without them. The decorative closures are separating from the hook and loop part, but glue fixed that. I recently rode the University of Colorado Buff Epic, 110 miles, over 6300 ft elevation and all with the happiest feet of all the riders out there! I have logged well over 6ooo miles in these shoes this summer. I LOVE THEM!

Bought the 41's. Very similar fit to my existing Pearl Izumi and Shimano road shoes. Nice room in the toe box. Ratchet system is snug and easy to work.

Great quality for the money. Size seems to be pretty accurate, unlike some other reviews. Comfortable fit and easy adjustments. Kinda "just right".

  • “Hi again. Kevin thanks for the answer about the cleats...but I was asking about the toe spikes/studs. Is that what you are referring to when you say "cleats not included"? I know it is a word game...cleats that lock you in to the pedals, and "cleats as in toe spikes" that screw into the threaded holes in the fronts of the soles. So...do the crew in studs come with? And is the 42 going to run pretty close to a men's 9? Is the toe box narrow or wide?

    Thanks so much.

    Doug”

    • Sorry about the misunderstanding, most are asking if the cleats are included. The toe spikes/studs are included. My information indicates that the 42 is more of a men's 8.5.

  • “Are toe studs / spikes included? Also....I assume Crank Bros cleats work”
Asked by Time Sport MXC MTB Cycling Shoes from Colorado on 9/18/2013 7:34:49 PM
    • The cleats are not included.

  • “Do these run large or small. European made shoes tend to run a bit small, so that would help me choose my size. I liked the old review section because it gave you the "true to size" points which were helpful in avoiding picking a size too small or large.”
Asked by Wyatt from White Plains, NY on 9/13/2011 12:00:00 AM
    • Cycling shoes have a snug fit and are tighter than other athletic shoes, so you may need to order a size up to ensure they do not strain your toes and that your feet have room to move.

    • According to our size and fit models these run true to size.
