Cheap, Chinese-made compromise

Reviewed by Practical EDC from Lyons, CO on Wednesday, October 24, 2012
This is a heavy, cheaply-made multi-tool that is a compromise in nearly every one of its functions. The blade is very sharp out of the box, but the serrated, chisel-cut profile will be more challenging to maintain that a good, plain blade.

The plastic cover on one side of the tool is so flimsy that it can be easily peeled back with my thumb.

The pliers are very small and weak. They couldn't be effectively used in the same way a Leatherman or similar multi-tool could perform.

The screw driver bits are too small for most purposes, yet too large for precise jobs like eyeglasses or electronics. They're practically worthless.

Since I was able to get this on sale from STP for less than $15, I'm not likely to return them (since return-shipping is something like half that cost!) so these will find a home in my glove box as a backup tool.
  • Best Uses: Backup tool
  • Cons: Feeble Pliers, Poorly made, Worthless Screwdrivers
  • Pros: Inexpensive, Solid Frame Lock, Very sharp
