I got a couple of these to finish off a bike I was building up on the cheap. Although they're plastic they are actually a little heavier than a standard aluminum bottle cage -- so if you're trying to shave that last ounce, look elsewhere. Also, there is not much room to tighten the fasteners that hold the cage to the frame. For most frames with standard bosses, it shouldn't matter. My frame (a Trek composite) actually has threaded studs rather than bosses. I had to remove some plastic with a Dremel tool in order to be able to fit an 8mm socket over the nuts that secure the cage to the frame. No big deal, just something to be aware of.
