Shrink to fit Wool Polo

Once upon a time many years ago, high-end European goods were made in Europe. Unfortunately, that is increasingly not the case. Europe has transshipping laws which allow a "Made in European country" label IF shipped from that country regardless of country of manufacture. The Chinese are notorious for not presetting their wool yarns prior to knitting and these wool polos are a good example of what happens even when washed in cold water; they shrink a size on average. Dry clean it, you say? Dry cleaning only removes surface dirt and not body oils or odors. Washing softens the fibers and gives the garment a softer "hand". I can only recommend this to a friend on the suggestion that they buy one size larger than required and cross their fingers!
