• I am 5'8", but heavier. I ordered L And it was plenty roomy. The sleeves were much to long, unisex sized.

I took a simple tuck at the seam of the elastic and it keeps the elastic band in place at my wrist.

I was caught in a hail storm and the jacket kept me dry. Shoes and shorts were soaked!

    Good buy and good quality!

  • Hi
I am make, 5'7" and weigh 160 lbs. a medium is generously sized on me. I would agree with a small for you.
The jacket is long, so it should be okay there too.

  • I purchased a small and I am 5'4" and 140lbs. This jacket is long in the length and sleeves on me. It is roomy with just a tee shirt on. If you like your fit a little tighter I would go with an extra small. But if you don't mind a roomier jacket the small should fit you a little better than it fits me.

  • I would definitely try the small first. I'm shorter, heavier, and very large-chested (F cup), and the large fits me even with long underwear and a flannel underneath.

  • The only thing I can comment on is try on a Medium Male shirt, if that fits comfortably get a Medium. It is the shoulder distance you may need to look at. The jacket is easy to carry and has a pouch to put it in. I love mine and place it in my backpack for that just in case rain.

  • I am 131 lbs, 5 ft 7" and got the medium. But I like a roomy fit and do not layer either. If you like a mens small, get that, but I think you might be happier with the medium, personally.

  • I would suggest a medium for you. Small may fit for walking, but would limit your range of motion and comfort for biking.

  • I would suggest going a size smaller than you normally would wear in a ladies jacket. If you have a store close by to try on a men's similar style do that. They are pretty true to size. I love mine.

  • I am 5'2" and about 119 lbs. and I got an x-small so I think the small should fit because it is like a men's small.

  • Small should work well over a tee or light shirt. If you think you might go heavy sweater, ever, make your decision based on your shoulder width.

  • You'll need a large. Both my girlfriend and I upsized and it was a good thing. She is 5'3" and 140 lbs. A looser fitting jacket will breathe better.

  • I bought this for my son, but I had my wife try it on who is 5'7" and 140 and a fairly athletic build and she said she would buy a small if you don't plan to layer it. Hope this works for you.

  • Depends on how loose you like your outerwear. This coat is pretty generously cut, so as long as the sleeves are long enough for you, the small would probably be fine.

  • Im 5'8" and 135. I got the xs and it is still very roomy. Side note tho..I wore this in what I would call a "moderate rain" situation and it wasn't exactly waterproof. More like water repellant. Otherwise, a reasonable jacket for the price.

  • I am 5'5 126 pounds and I purchased a medium size and I still have room to layer. I did find the sleeves a little long, but over all its great. It is light and veryeeasy to pack. If your not planning on layering a small just might work for what you want and need. I really love this jacket. Hope this helps.

  • I'm a full figured goddess - size 18 to 20 & I'm 5'7" - and I bought the XL. It fits me well - can zip it over my hips easily. The sleeves are way too long and I roll them. This is a very cheaply constructed garment but for the money, it should get you through a season. I wear mine infrequently. I don't know what to recommend to you for a size. I'd say it's true to size so if you wear a Small in a Columbia unisex jacket, a small should work with this one. I wish I was traveling with you!

  • i assumed they were sized for men,i am 6'1" 220 lbs so i got an XXL it was still a little tight when i would sit down in my belly area but it fit for the most part, breathed and kept me dry at 5'8 140lbs i would buy a medium sized one,not used to sizing up women/females but as with anything else you would rather something fight a little bigger and looser than tighter a small might work for you but i am guessing at your body shape,if you have a bigger chest i would go with a medium,small/no chest a small, like i said i am not used to sizing up women looking back i would have gotten a XXXL but my XXL worked for Cape Town South Africa where temperatures change depending on where you go and in the winter time expect some rain,it worked for me as my last layer of clothing so i would buy it as an outer shell when wearing layered clothing,it is a good ,quality made product i will say that,no broken zippers or anything, and it packs well, just roll it up and put it into the case that came with it,can't really speak for women but it fits good for men, even large men.
