Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Very HeavyVerified Buyer Reviewed by ~J from TN on Monday, May 14, 2018My husband ended up sending these back. He is use to wearing tennis shoes. These run about a half size too big, but seemed to be nice boots. However, the weight of the boot was just too heavy for him to adjust to. He ended up getting a different brand in a low top hiking shoe. It is more comparable to a tennis shoe.
True to sizeReviewed by kdmarb from Ohio on Sunday, May 6, 2018I very recently bought a pair of these hiking shoes to go on a trip. When I bought them I read a review that they tended to be a little big for size. I can tell you from experience that that is NOT true. They are exactly sized. I typically wear a 9-1/2 to 10 depending on the footwear. I bought a 9-1/2 and they fit exactly to the point of slightly small or snug. 20-20 hind sight I should have bought a 10 and worn 2 pair of socks to make up the difference. Quality wise, they are what I was expecting. I am not an avid hiker but want to start getting out more. These fit that bill.
Good boot!Reviewed by Jason from Virginia on Saturday, May 5, 2018I thought I'd give these a shot after purchasing some Asolos five months ago. Love the Asolos, not a fan of their prices. Construction on these looked similar and I'm a big believer in capped toe on these. They arrived yesterday and spent the day breaking them in on the AT. Fit well out of the box and I can already tell they won't be difficult to break in at all. I was going to call it quits after four miles, because I expected some hot spots, but they were doing so well I just kept trucking for another.seven miles. No blisters, no hot spots, the soles are excellent, and the boot is as light as my Asolos. Only reason I can't give five stars is a missing lace loop on the tongues and I can't vouch for durability yet.
Solid boot for the price and I'd say it's near Asolo quality.
Bad Soles . . .Reviewed by AZ_Hiker from Flagstaff on Friday, May 4, 2018The pair that I received had a large bulging protrusion of the sole at the toe on one boot and the out sole was detached from the midsole at the ball of foot on the other. It was glued around the edges, but you could feel a noticeable gap between outsole and midsole. I expect that STP got a batch of these that are not closeouts but seconds. And very bad seconds at that. Returned. Do not recommend.
Not impressedReviewed by Prof. Chaos from Montana on Monday, April 30, 2018Took a chance on these. Sole is extremely flimsy and easily bent. Every rock is noticeable. Upper is painfully stiff around the ankle/calf - might get better with break-in.
I do wonder if the soles in the pair I tried were defective - it felt not much better than a flip-flop sole.
These might work in terrain where most hiking is on packed dirt. I would not recommend them in rocky terrain.
They look nice, though.
good quality TrezetaVerified Buyer Reviewed by Ranger Tim from Estes Park, Colorado on Monday, April 23, 2018Similar to some of the Asolo's out there but these Trezeta's seem to use a polyurethane mid-sole rather than EVA. It seems the toe-box is a little wider as well, thankfully. With the longer-lasting polyurethane, I am impressed. Should be a good boot for years to come.
Great ValueVerified Buyer Reviewed by AZ Randy from Arizona on Monday, April 23, 2018I'd never tried Trezeta boots before, but at this price I thought I would give them a try. The size ran a little big on me but after exchanging for a half size smaller they fit great. Nice boot with good ankle support.
Waterproof? NOPE!Reviewed by Sam the bullfrog slayer from Long Beach, CA on Wednesday, April 11, 2018I like these boots for many reasons. They're well made and appear durable yet very light and comfortable. So why 3 stars? They claim to be waterproof but the ankle support has perforations designed to let them breath but also let water in. The tongue also has deep slits that extend below the ankle support and let water in. Even worse, water seeps through the material when submersed above the toe protection repeatedly over a day of creek hiking.
Fantastic!!Verified Buyer Reviewed by kw from pa on Saturday, March 10, 2018These boots exceeded my expectations and are as good or better then any well known hiking boot brand.
Just OKVerified Buyer Reviewed by BH from Indiana / Kentucky on Tuesday, October 24, 2017The following boots are just ok. I put about 6 miles on them before I left for 30 mile / 3 day hike but really did not break in for me until I did about 15 miles in them. I think that they are little wide for my foot and tops of the boots took a while to break in for me.
