5.0 out of 5 stars. Just what I wanted

Exactly what I wanted! Light and sturdy. The only thing I am not fond of is the small size of the side pockets. They will not hold a decent size water bottle.

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars. One bizarre design flaw....

There's so much I like about this backpack. I'm still glad I got it. But the buckles for the outer straps aren't actually sewn to the canvas front--they're "held" on with fancy snaps, and they pop off very easily. This makes the straps essentially useless for holding the flap closed, and the front pocket has no button or zipper of its own. The main compartment is zipped so that's okay. I just have to accept that nothing held in the front pocket is safe. Heaven forbid I put my wallet in there....

Maybe I'd give this 3.5 stars, but it would be a 5 star backpack without that really bizarre design flaw. Maybe I can stitch them down myself or have it done.
