Most Helpful 5-Star Review
Verified Buyer Reviewed by TrailGirl from Virginia on Monday, February 20, 2017I love TYR - they're the only swimsuits I buy for swimming laps. Because it's so cute, this suit will do double-duty for my upcoming beach trip: both form and function where it's exceptionally flattering, not revealing (double-sided), and full enough in the bum that my cheeks don't hang out when I swim or walk. I'm 5'2" and 115 lbs with a 36B chest; the Medium fit me perfectly. I bought 2 of the same suit so I have a replacement when the first one wears out.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by fotokaren from seattle on Monday, February 6, 2017I only get one new suit a year for my water exercise but this time because it is reversible it is like having two new suits. I usually buy the dolfin uglies in size 36. the tyr suit is a large and is a bit looser. material is sturdy and the print side is bright a festive.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Megan from Illinois on Monday, November 14, 2016I normally wear a size 2/4 (5'4", 120#) but am 9 weeks pregnant and growing. I am still in my regular clothes at this point and the suit fits very well. The suit is not baggie at all but I can tell that it will accommodate my altered figure over the next few months. (It has a bit of room to stretch in the midsection and bottom when I'll need it.) If I wasn't expecting, I'd probably have been just fine in the next size smaller.
I have looked for a suit like this for years. I am more of an athletic 2-piece person but really needed a suit like this. The pattern is very cute and the suit is incredibly well made. I like that it is reversible. I also appreciate that it has built-in cups in the bust which provide support and modesty. I use the suit for swimming laps but could be very comfortable wearing the suit to play/golf snorkeling at the beach or attend pool parties.
Verified Buyer Reviewed by swimswamswum from santA BARBARA on Thursday, August 25, 2016i guess i have a long torso since suits always seem to ride up on me (speedo and nike most recently). this one does not. the material is also substantial enough that it stays where it's put. the elastic seems good too so far, although i've only worn it once. I wasn't sure which size to get; got a large- smaller than the size chart indicated i needed, but it fits well. there are nice molded cups- not padded, but will definitely hide any fripples. the reversible option is nice. i had a hard time finding an athletic one-piece that fit, provided coverage where i wanted it, and did not look frumpy (most of my back can still get a decent tan in this). so glad i finally found the winner. only drawback is the princess seams, while flattering, look a little funny under some shirts. this probably won't be an issue for most people but just thought i'd mention it.
