I go through alot of suits because we swim year round in Arizona. This suit is an endurance type suit which means that it has polyester in it. These suits last a lot longer than a typical lycra suit. One downfall with a competitor brand (Speedo) is that their endurance suits have no stretch even aft... Read More

I swim laps and do water aerobics. TYR suits fit my body type (busty with narrow hips) better than Speedo. I have had several diamondback suits and love them. This is my second in durafast fabric. The first one lasted two years, whereas a Lycra suit often wears out after 3-5 months. The downside is that while a Lycra suit fits like a glove, durafast suits are a little less flexible. I have to struggle a little more to get into them.

I'm small and this suits just fits. If you're big busted you may need to go up a size. I swim in a warm water chlorinated pool and need an all poly suit. They last the longest.

I ordered the same size suit as my bra size thinking that should work (as I am not a swimmer and have never bought professional type swimwear). But this suit is too small for me. I should have order 1-2 sizes up. The plus side is that I exercise in a bromine pool that eats all other swimwear cloth but this 100% polyester suit is resilient!

  • “Is this suit fully lined front and back?”
Asked by Faith from Greenville, SC on 9/20/2011 12:00:00 AM
    • The TYR Aries Competition Swimsuit is fully lined front and back.
Answered on 9/27/2011 12:00:00 AM by Prod. Spec. Kevin from Sierra Trading Post
    • No, front only. It is 100% polyester though so it won't breakdown like nylon/spandex suits do. If you want extra coverage I'd suggest going with a reversible suit, TYR has models.

    • No, only the front. But the dark color combo is so very conservative and covering.
