Verified Buyer Reviewed by Vacman from Michigan on Monday, January 22, 2018This has been a winter of sub-zero temperatures and i have only resorted to my down jacket once so far. I've worn this jacket every day with a Stetson wool sherpa-lined vest under it and never been cold. This jacket blocks the wind and resists rain and snow. The cut and fit are generous allowing room for the vest under it. My only reservation is that the material is very stretchy and may tend to lose its shape. Only time will tell/
Verified Buyer Reviewed by Nebraska Climber from Nebraska on Monday, January 22, 2018So, these are soft and comfortable. The fleecy interior is really nice against the skin, and the fabric is stretchy without being floppy. The ribs are "thermal" type material, but they seem thinner than the main tight. Their is a pocket, but it's in the front of the waistband. Seems like an odd place. I have only had key pockets in the backs or sides of shorts and tights. I didn't actually use that when I tested these (I was wearing a jacket, so why bother with a weird pocket) but it is a larger pocket than on most tights or shorts. Not sure if that's good or bad, honestly. For me, probably good, because I run with my dog and I need a place to stash treats as well as my keys. Anyway, these are nice tights but I think I took them out in weather beyond their abilities. It was about 10 degrees F. when I used these, and I was chilled on the thighs. I did not wear shorts or anything over these, as I really wanted to see how well they would do. The rest of me was actually warm enough (except my face) but I had three layers on top, including a running jacket, and the warmest smart wool socks I own on my feet. These will probably be ok in that kind of cold with another layer over them, and they are probably great at 25-35 degrees. After that super cold day, we had a warmer snap and I haven't worn these again because it's been 40 or above, at which point I wear lighter capris. They are more comfortable and stayed in place better than my old Nike tights, which are probably a little warmer in some ways (they are so old that the reflective bands on the sides have rubbed off, leaving very little protection on parts of my upper leg) but also have mesh panels on the backs of the knees, which I don't like in the super cold. But, those Nikes have a tendency to slide down and they have zippers on the ankles, which can be good--but also which sometimes dig into my ankles with the wrong socks.
